A plethora of plushes pop up on J-List!J-List updates their stock quite often (every night, if I am not mistaken) and recently, a veritable herd of adorable plushes made their way to the site. The first series of plush toys we will be looking at focuses on Nyanko-sensei, hailing from the anime Natsume Yuujinchou (or Natsume's Book of Friends). The adorable demon is celebrating the New Year with a variety of different poses with props: with a kite, draped in a shishimai (Chinese dragon), and a Kuro version with a mikan on his head. They each retail for US$14 and are available now. The second series, San-X's Sumikko Gurashi, was a line that I was not aware of but, goodness, am I pleased that I discovered it. These cute little critters have weighted bottoms and a kind of simplistic, almost minimalist, design to them. Sumikko Gurashi means "living in the tiny corners of the house," which is fitting for these 15 centimeter tall plushes. Available on the site are the cat, bear, penguin, and what is listed as "tonkatsu" (i am pretty sure it is a mole). Each plush costs US$16. Can't choose between them? J-List is currently running a promotion in which you will receive 15 percent off 3 or more Sumikko Gurashi plushes (of any style). Do any of these plushes tickle your fancy, Tomofaithful? Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
