Storm Collectibles remembers the glory days of Dennis Rodman

Yes, for some unholy reason, Storm Collectibles wants us all to turn back the clocks to the late '90s with this 1/6 scale figure of Dennis "The Worm" Rodman. The bad boy of Chicago Bulls basketball is fully articulated and co...

Make 1/6 Dennis Rodman an ambassador to your collection

Say what you will about Dennis Rodman. He's weird to say the least. Even in his current notoriety for being the failed hope for change in North Korea, he'll still be mostly remembered as that guy with the crazy hair from the ...

Enterbay fully captures all the emotion of Derrick Rose

Derrick Rose isn't a man of much emotion or health for that matter. When he is healthy though, he is one of the best in the NBA that gives Chicago fans reason to hope (read: false) that they'll get past Lebron and actually wi...

NYCC 2013: Mattel - WWE

The current WWE TV story line might be all about which wrestlers are worthy of being the face of the company, but when you look at Mattel's newest WWE offerings it's pretty clear who the faces really are. The display is prett...

A terrible thing I made: Custom Tim Tebow Gundam Maxter photo
A terrible thing I made: Custom Tim Tebow Gundam Maxter
by Andres Cerrato

G Gundam is downright silly. Stereotypes manifested themselves into some of the most odd mecha designs of the 90s. Neo America’s Gundam Maxter was a robot football player with pistols and a surfboard shield. I had an idea, hell, it’s a football player, I’ll start a project in trying to make each of the 32 NFL teams in this design. Making it all the more ridiculous, I’ll start with Tim Tebow and the Jets!

I have made a terrible mistake. Join me after the jump for the descent into regret in my construction of a 1/144 Gundam Maxter Tim Tebow custom.

Free! yourself with Nanase Haruka photo
Free! yourself with Nanase Haruka
by Yami Casas

If there is one anime that has been getting a lot of buzz this season, it's KyoAni's new sports themed series Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club. With the immense popularity the show has garnered in just its first four weeks since airing, I'm sure a lot of companies were trying to get a hold of this license. Fans will be thrilled to know that ALTAiR, along with Hobby Stock recently announced that it would be making an 1/8 figure of Iwatobi's Swim Club resident merman, Nanase Haruka. Now you'll just have to excuse me a moment as I try to contain myself.

I can't wait to see what ALTAiR has up their sleeve for Haru's sculpt, but knowing them I'm sure it's bound to be amazing. While I would love to see Haru in a dynamic pose wearing his swimsuit, I wouldn't mind seeing him dressed in his "SPLASH FREE" garb. With Wonderfes 2013 Summer just hours away, I am hopeful we might get some more exciting announcements from ALTAiR and Hobby Stock. Who wouldn't love to see Rei-chan or Makoto join Haruka, right?

Enter the second quarter with Kuroko no Basket One Coins photo
Enter the second quarter with Kuroko no Basket One Coins
by Yami Casas

While the second season of Kuroko no Basket is still ways away from its October premiere, Kotobukiya is easing the wait with a second set of its one coin series aptly named 2Q. The first set of minis, (which is due out this month) primarily focused on the "Generation of Miracles" players, so some of the fan favorites didn't get a chance to make the lineup. Thankfully Kotobukiya knows just how popular the series is, so it's not surprising we're getting another set with boys and girls that were noticeably missing from the first series.

This time around, the 2Q set roster features Tetsuya Kuroko (uniform version), Kagami Taiga (uniform version), Teppei Kiyoshi, Shun Izuki, Riko Aida, Yukio Kasamatsu, Shoichi Imayoshi, Satsuki Momoi, and Tatsuya Himuro. The chibi's stand at approximately 4.5 cm and each comes with an adorable miniaturized basket ball court as a base. It's hard to pick which one of these cuties is my favorite, but once again, I'm finding Bakagami's (Kagami) expression hard to resist. He's such an a-dork-able baka!

The complete box set of nine will retail for ¥4,950 with an expected December release date. Naturally, I have already tossed my wallet over to Kotobukiya's HQ. What about you, Tomocchi's? Anyone thinking of pre-ordering the 2Q set?
