Due to scheduling difficulties, I wasn't able to get a question post up. My deepest apologies, dearest Tomocast listeners. To make up for it, I brought on a trio of guests that will surely entertain you. To...
Wow, that took a while, huh? Well, when you combine a company that suddenly decides to drop a majority of the podcasts they host and the rigors of day-to-day life, sometimes it takes a bit of time to get things rolling again....
It's finally that time folks. After all the hype on (and off) the air, Tomocast will finally be hitting up Akira Toriyama's animated classic, Dragon Ball Z. We'll of course be talking about the series that was and still is such a big hit both in Japan and the States. Dragon Ball and GT will also be mentioned, but expect a lot of blond hair and muscle talk. As is the usual for these things, we need questions, so please ask away!
Note that we're currently having a problem with our host, so previous episodes are currently unavilable. As soon as things are worked out, we'll have this and all of our old episode back up and running!
It has definitely been one helluva year in the toy collecting community and at Tomopop. A lot of changes have occurred, but the one thing that has been consistent is our drive to bring you the best in toy news and entertainment. It has been my absolute pleasure to host Tomocast during 2011, made that much more enjoyable by having some of the best folks on the internet as guests. I've brought many of these people back to talk about the best and worst things of 2011 and what they're looking forward to in 2012.

That's right folks, we finally got another episode up! Rio McCarthey, Andres Cerrato and Chris Pranger joined me to talk about the perilous world of licensed toys. We had a good time recounting some of the worst pieces of plastic that we got our hands on and, on occasion, the nicer toys that we got. The pictures in the gallery are some of the toys that we brought up on air, so you can suffer along with us!
As usual, you can download the episode here, follow us on iTunes or hit the jump to listen. Also, please rate and review us on iTunes if you got a couple of minutes. Enjoy!
Sorry for the delay folks, but it's time yet again for Tomocast to caress the inside of your ears. Using the seductive voices of Rio McCarthy, Andres Cerrato and Chris Pranger, we're going to talk about licensed toys and the movies/shows they come from. We're bound to get rowdy with this one, especially if my memories of the old Star Trek: The Next Generation toys comes back at the right moment.
As usual, we'll need your questions, so go ahead and hit us up!
This is one of those episodes that I've been waiting to do for a while. I love the Macross franchise, what with the typically excellent music, dramatic stories, sexy ladies and sexier planes. So for this episode, I got associate editor Andres Cerrato, Japanator associate editor Hiroko Yamamura and MAHQ's Chris Guanche together to talk about the series as a whole, along with the toys, music, planes, etc.
As usual, you can hit the jump to stream the episode, download it here or subscribe (and rate us!) us on iTunes. Enjoy!
Tonight I'm joined by Tomopop associate editor Andres Cerrato, Japanator associate editor Hiroko Yamamura and Chris Guanche of Mecha & Anime Headquarters fame to talk about the seminal Macross series. We'll talk about the sexy robots, the pretty animus and about how much I love Minmei. Seriously, I even named my car after her.
As per the usual, we're going to need some questions, so go ahead and drop some in the comments!
Welcome to the 31st episode of the Tomocast, where legendary actors are pitted against each other in the comments. Don't worry,it makes sense in the context of the episode. This time around, we have a listener questions episode, where we solicited your queries and answered them for as long as we possibly could. I was joined by head honcho Brian Szabelski and newcomers Jackie Zysk and Natalie Kipper.
As usual, you can download the episode here, subscribe (and rate!) on iTunes or listen to it after the jump. Enjoy!
It's the time again folks. Like a scantily clad lady of the night, I'm soliciting questions from the Tomo-masses for another episode. The topic? There is none! Go ahead and ask anything you want. From the color of our socks to the shows we watch or the games we play, the field is pretty much open.
As for guests, I've got editor-in-chief Brian Szebelski as well as newcomers Jackie Zysk and Natalie Kipper. Be sure to give them a warm Tomocast welcome! We're recording Monday evening, so you have until then to ask your questions. Best one gets a prize!
[REMINDER: We're recording tonight! Get your last minute questions in.]
Disney and Pixar's animated classic Toy Story has earned many accolades in the time since it's release 16 years ago. All of those rewards pale in comparison to the ultimate prize: the one and only Tomocast commentary. You too can share in Toy Story's glory and listen as Kristina Pino, Rio McCarthy, Chris Pranger and I watch this fantastic film and crack wise. Trust me, after you've seen Revoltech Woody's antics, there's no way you'll be able to watch this movie and not giggle through half of it.
You can download the episode here, subscribe to us on iTunes or listen to the episode after the jump. Be sure to rate us on iTunes as well!
Two months ago, I promised all the fine and sexy Tomo peeps that there'd be a movie commentary. Ladies and gents, I keep my promises and although it's taken a while, you're going to get your commentary! Tomorrow night I will be joined by Kristina Pino, Rio McCarthy and Chris Pranger as we all watch Pixar's animated gem Toy Story. I'm pretty sure everybody who visits Tomo has seen this gem at least once in their life, so we hope to inject a bit of dirty humor into the wholesome classic. Hell, with Revoltech Woody hanging around in the back of my mind, they'll definitely be some scenes that'll have whole new meanings.
As usual, leave a question in the comments and we'll answer them after the movie is done. I've tried to save your questions from before, so if you see them below, fantastic! If not, please ask again!
Prepare yourselves for a doozy of an episode. Clocking in at two hours and forty minutes, this is the longest episode that I've ever hosted, perhaps even the longest episode in the history of the Tomocast. However, it was difficult for Kristina Pino, Chris Pranger, upcoming Tomopop writer Kyle and myself to contain ourselves when we're talking about Batman. What can I say? We all love the perpetually prepared crime fighter in nearly all his forms, so we went all out.
You can download it here, follow us on iTunes or hit the jump to stream it. I hope you guys enjoy listening to it since we had so much fun recording it!
