Contest results: Who's winning our set of Persona 4 Half-Age characters?
by Vanessa Cubillo

Greetings, Tomopop readers!

We got a surprisingly huge response for this contest! Either people really like Persona 4 or they like the thought of spring. Whatever the reason, I'd like to thank everyone who entered.

It was nice hearing all the things our readers are looking forward to once spring comes. To make this contest fair, I picked the winner using a random number generator.

So the winner is derelictjet!

You'll be receiving a set of Persona 4 Half-Age character figures. Please email your name and address to

We’re almost in spring! The weather is definitely getting better, even if the occasional cold winds come around. So to prepare, we’re doing a little pre-spring cleaning here at Tomopop.

We’re giving away one set of Persona 4 Half-Age Characters from Bandai. These are the same ones seen in our review by Martin. This contest will be simple, just leave a comment below saying what you’re looking forward to in spring.

You’ll have until April 30th to enter. This contest is open to fans worldwide, but if you live outside the United Kingdom we’ll kindly ask you to pay for the shipping.

I, like all rational and reasonable human beings, love Persona 4 with all of my heart and soul. And considering I write for a toy website, it's pretty obvious that I like cute things too. So what happens when Bandai takes the already adorable girls of Persona 4 and makes them extra adorable for their Half-Age Character series? Well, read on to find out!

Wonder Festival 2014 Winter: Griffon Enterprises Roundup

Griffon brought their A-game to Wonder Festival this past weekend. They had a very impressive number of figures on display, both new and old. They displayed several previously announced figures for the first time from their v...

GSC announces a raft of delays for September

By now, Good Smile Company's monthly release schedule post has become a regular source of frustration as the firm announces which figures will miss their shipping dates. This month is no different, except maybe for a higher t...

Bring Ques Q's Christmas Elizabeth home for Christmas photo
Bring Ques Q's Christmas Elizabeth home for Christmas
by Scarecroodle

[UPDATE: Pre-orders are now open]

Christmas won't be coming early for Ques Q's Christmas version of Elizabeth as both it and the standard version are slated for a December release.

While both versions look fantastic, my preference is for the holiday version simply because holiday versions of characters strike me as being unnecessarily zany* (or zanily unnecessary? Either way I'm not sure if this is an in-game thing** although the Christmas version is marked as being from Persona 3 while the standard is marked as from Persona 4***). If I understand the translation correctly, the Christmas version's santa hat is removable and can be switched for a normal hat (which are held in place by magnets?) which might pertain to a first run bonus.

Both versions are 1/8-scale figures with what seems to be a ¥9,800 list price and appear to be slated for a December release.

*With the exception of Halloween-themed figures, which are always necessary.

**Likely being the only Tomopop editor to have not played the Persona games, naturally I took it upon myself to discuss this figure.

***Also, given my lack of familiarity with the franchise, I won't be making a Velvet Room partly because I don't know what that is but mostly because it seems to be overused.

****I enjoy making additional notes.

High Priestess Labrys appears for exclusive pre-orders

The last time we heard about the upcoming High Priestess Labrys was her feature in magazine scans back in March. She was announced in January but it's now August and she has finally made her appearance for pre-orders. As Bria...

Wonder Festival 2013 Summer: Alter reveals Labrys

Persona 4 Arena's Labrys hasn't gotten a ton of attention from figure makers, but getting a treatment from Alter is excellent news. I'm all about quality over quantity, and with Alter at the helm, you know you'll be getting the best. All we can see right now is Labrys and her axe. I wouldn't count on a bunch of extras if the last few Alter releases is anything to go by. Still, I'm stoked!

Here are all of Taito's Persona 4 Arena prize figures

High Priestess Chie Satonaka delayed to September

As much as Megahouse's High Priestess Chie Satonaka looks awesome, there's been some bad news the last two times I've posted about her. First, it was the news that Chie was a MegatreShop exclusive, and now a second bit of new...
