We finally get a blue Bluestreak, so of course he's a hard to get exclusive

Takara Tomy pulls another one out of the Transformers obscurity bag, but this time it's one a lot of fans have wanted. Quick history lesson: way back before Hasbro began the Transformers franchise, Takara was deep into the Di...

Take a first look at Masterpiece Tracks in color, flight mode, and accessories
by Jeremy Emerje Crocker

It's been less than two weeks since we got our first look at Takara Tomy's Transformers Masterpiece Tracks and things appear to be moving along quickly. Already we're being treated to some full color images of the Ark's resident narcissist thanks to Kapow Toys and he's looking pretty great! He's a perfect package, far exceeding every Tracks figure that has come before. He has his compact robot mode, a super sleek Corvette Stingray mod, and can still take on a flight mode now featuring tail fins from the cartoon! I guess Tracks isn't the only one who thinks he looks beautiful.

And it's not just the figure you're getting, check out the accessories! Stingrays are pretty narrow little cars so they appear to be packing him with some cool stuff instead of dropping the price and I'm fine with that. We're getting a mini figure of Track's breakdancing pal Raoul (where are our Chip Chase and Carly figures?), a tiny, little (ghetto) Blaster, and a flight stand, something we've only ever seen come with the Seeker Jets.

No release dates or prices just yet, but I'm counting on him being one of the big late 2015 releases like Bumblebee and Wheeljack last year. Now that he's gotten this far hopefully we'll have pre-orders and better pictures soon enough!

Mega Drive Megatron gets a Genesis makeover photo
Mega Drive Megatron gets a Genesis makeover
by Jeremy Emerje Crocker

Everyone's favorite video game-console-turned-killer-robot Mega Drive Megatron from Takara Tomy is getting a limited makeover. Soon Megatron will be getting redesigned as a Sega Genesis and come complete with a matching mini Sonic the Hedgehog cartridge. But despite the Sega Genesis primarily being sold in North America only, this is going to be a Japanese exclusive to the Takara Tomy A.R.T.S. shop and limited to only 1000 pieces.

It's basically the same figure, but has had the the red replaced with purple which makes me wish this 'reformated' Mega Drive had a Galvatron head to match the new colors. Oh well, maybe they'll save that for a Saturn. Pre-orders are open now until January 8, though you'll have to get this through proxy from the Japanese store. He'll be seeing release in February which happens to also be the same month Playstation Optimus Prime is coming out. Coincidence? Probably not.

Oh, but that's not all! As traditional for many of the Autobot and Decepticon leaders, Mega Drive Megatron will be receiving a super limited Lucky Draw gold (chrome) plated lottery figure. Famitsu is reporting that anyone in Japan that buys a copy of Sega 3D Reprint Archives for Nintendo 3DS and fills out a survey between December 18, 2014 and January 31, 2015 will get a shot at one of five of these beauties. Notice that instead of Sonic he'll come with a cart for Bare Knuckle, the Japanese version of Streets of Rage. Nice, but not something any of us are likely to see in any of our lifetimes.

2015 Snow Bell Miku gets both a Nendoroid and figma! photo
2015 Snow Bell Miku gets both a Nendoroid and figma!
by Jeremy Emerje Crocker

Snow Miku Snow Bell ver. is cute. Like, beyond belief adorably cute. Way too cute to be left as just a single figure so Good Smile Company and Max Factory are spreading the love. 2015 will be the first year were a new Snow Miku design will be used for both a new Nedoroid and a new figma! Ah, they're so great, and I'm glad we're finally getting a figma that isn't just a repaint of another Miku. Both figures will also be accompanied by their own little Yukine bunny figure.

Details are pretty light at the moment, though I'm sure we won't have to wait too long before we see and learn more about these figures. Of course they'll be available at Wonder Festival 2015 (Winter) on February 8 when we'll all have the opportunity to place an order online! As a special treat they're also adding Snow Bell Miku to the Hatsune Miku Project Diva arcade game.
