First 4 Figures' Ganondorf rises for pre-order photo
First 4 Figures' Ganondorf rises for pre-order
by Brian Szabelski

[updated: added info for regular version]

If you remember, we brought you the teaser of First 4 Figures' Ganondorf not too long ago. Now, we're happy to let you know that it's Aug. 7, so that means pre-orders are open! The 1/4-scale (23-inch-tall) Ganondorf comes exclusively on the First 4 Figures site with the alternate, evil-laughing head; both figures feature a ton of detail, a real cloth cape, and all the detailing from Twilight Princess (using the actual game files) you can imagine. Some great sculpting work, especially on the sword and armor, from First 4's Goran Sadojevich here.

Want to pick up this limited-run polystone king of evil? He's coming in Q1 2013 for US$479.99, with the run size to be determined after the first 48 hours (low numbers given on a first-come, first-served basis). You can pre-order it at First 4 Figures right now; are you planning on picking him up?

The regular version is also up for order, priced at US$449.99. Like the exclusive, the run size is TBD, but based on orders throughout the first month.

Blow up the land with First 4 Figures' Worms 2 diorama

It figures that on a day where we celebrate the U.S. of A's independence from the Crown by blowing up a portion of our land, we talk about a diorama of game that does the same. I can honestly say I have fond memories of Worms...

First 4 Figures brings us two editions of Tails statues photo
First 4 Figures brings us two editions of Tails statues
by Natalie Kipper

Miles "Tails" Prower, that two-tailed fox from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, is soon to be immortalized in his own pair of statues by First 4 Figures. The two statues, Tails Regular and Tails Exclusive, both depict Sonic's brainy sidekick propelling through the mushroom-filled fields of the Mushroom Zone. Both of Tails' signature tails are captured in a dynamic pose, giving the illusion that Tails is in mid-flight. There is even a little dust cloud left in his wake! Both statues are 12 inches tall (in proportion to the other Sonic statues made by First 4 Figures) and come in full color packaging, along with a hand-numbered base and certificate of authenticity.

So, what is the difference between the Regular and Exclusive editions? In the Exclusive edition, the three mushrooms at the base light up and slowly change color. It looks like a really nice effect. There are only 500 pieces of the Exclusive Tails statue available, priced at US$199.99. The Regular Tails statue is limited to 1500 pieces worldwide and costs US$179.99. Both statues will be available in the third quarter of 2012.
