Tomopop About Town: MCM Comic Con London 2014

As I covered last time I was at the show, when it comes to anime, manga, sc-fi, fantasy and just general geek gatherings in the UK, there's no event bigger than the twice-yearly MCM Comic Con in London. Though the con scene h...

Tomopop Review: DST's Marvel Select Amazing Spidey 2 Spider-Man

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was the somewhat lukewarm follow-up to Sony's Spider-Man reboot. The film notably improved on Spider-Man's costume, giving movie-goers something closer to what they were used to, while jumping all ove...

Tomopop Review: inki-drop's Tentatrio plushes

I have been a fan of Shelly Rodriguez for a long, long time. I loved her work way back when her studio was called inki-Jinx rather than inki-drop. There's a little snapshot, right there. Her plush line has grown from the Crab...

Funko brings the truth from out there into your home photo
Funko brings the truth from out there into your home
by Scarecroodle

Before there was Californication, David Duchovny starred in a little known scifi/horror/drama tv series called the X-Files. Maybe you've heard of it? The show ran for around nine years and is widely considered one of the greatest things to ever grace television.

The series that helped to lay the ground-work for countless tv shows has been honored with some new collectibles. Funko will be producing X-Files Pop! and Wacky Wobbler figures. The selection includes agents Mulder and Scully (who appear as both Wacky Wobblers and Pop!s) as well as the sinister Cigarette Smoking Man and an alien grey (Expect Agent Doggett to appear if Pop! David Duchovny decides to work on his movie career).

The figures, which are available for pre-order now, are slated to release in February.

New Pipsqueaks from Amanda Spayd on sale Nov. 25 photo
New Pipsqueaks from Amanda Spayd on sale Nov. 25
by Brian Szabelski

Amanda Spayd's Dust Bunnies have long been a favorite of mine, whether they're made of fabric and stuffings or resin. The bite-sized Pipsqueaks in particular are adorable little fellows, and two new Pipsqueak colorways -- Golden Beeswax and Electric Cranberry -- will be up for sale in Amanda's shop on Nov. 25 for US$18 each.

Of the two, I think the Golden Beeswax Pipsqueak colorway is a bit better, as some of the detail gets hidden at first glance with Electric Cranberry Pipsqueak's translucency, but they're both a more pocket-friendly way to put some of Amanda Spayd's Dust Bunnies on your shelf.
