[UPDATED] Beautiful creatures turned into art out of scraps and hub caps photo

Ptolemy Erlington of Hubcap Creatures spends all of his time at his studio creating beautiful sculptures out of scraps. The header image and all of those in the gallery are all sculptures that have been created out of hub caps, all recycled and found. Ptolemy says most of his materials are found on the side of the road and he doesn't alter them from their scratched or scuffed state, preferring to let their histories show.

While these aren't necessarily toys, every now and then we at Tomopop feel the need to show you readers some really cool stuff. You could get your hands on one of these as well if you so desire, and Ptolemy only charges for his labor. The sale page is here! The images I included here are only but a select few that were provided by him an interview, so you should look on his website for more.

What do you think, Tomofolk? Creating art out of busted up hub caps is a lot prettier than I would have expected. Would any of you ever want to own a beautiful fish or another creature of his? Ptolemy really likes to stress that it's important to be aware of the environment and take care of it as well as you can. I encourage all of you to at least look at his beautiful work!

[UPDATE] I've changed the header picture and added one more bonus photo that Ptolemy e-mailed me after seeing this post. Beautiful!

I think his work is amazing. The shark in particular was shockingly epic. I wonder how much he sells them for?
Absolutely beautiful. You can't tell because my avatar is too small, but I can't resist this idea. I have always been attracted to things with a bio-mechanical edge. I'd love to buy one if I could. :(

@BakaJon, if you click the pictures it'll tell you the price :) I believe the shark is listed at 730 euros, but I *think* that is around $1000 USD (someone please correct me if I'm wrong).
My brain has stopped working. Genius.
It's surprisingly easy to fashion metal items into something cool. Even in the "raw" state they look incredible.
I think in the main feature, it said the rate is like 80 pounds per day. Some of these take him a few days while others (like the dragon) take upto a month or more. Since the metal is mostly found stuff, it makes sense for him to charge based on time.

I might be wrong, though! Do go by his sale page~
