As Toy Art Gallery's Blamo show winds down, they're preparing for an invasion next weekend. An invasion of kaiju, that is, in the form of Karoushi, a show featuring the works of Velocitron (a.k.a. Ricky Wilson) and Grody Shogun (a.k.a. Luke Rook). Expect to see new and old pieces from both artists, as well as perhaps a few mash-ups and collaborations between the two.
Karoushi opens on Friday, Feb. 3, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Pacific at Toy Art Gallery (7571 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, Calif.), running through the end of the month. Luke and Ricky will be broadcasting live from Japan, where they'll be doing live toy paintings. Kaiju fans in Southern California would do well to check this out.
