I'll start by admitting I'm not the biggest Sonico fan. I'm not really a fan at all. While the Nitro+ mascot has been the subject of many figures, they just don't catch my interest. They tend to be very well-sculpted with great attention to detail and that's not something that can be missed on the latest version of Sonico as she's at a massive 1/2-scale.
We've seen scary 1/2 figures in the form of Cattleya recently but this Soniko isn't as unsightly. Still, Sonico towers over Cattelya as this piece has her standing straight-up in, of course, a state of undress. At least this time she doesn't have the look of embarrassment that some pieces typically feature. She's massive and will stand somewhere under 3 feet. Just what I've always wanted, a girl with breasts bigger than her head, proportion be damned, and just as tall as a pre-schooler! Yeah, there's probably something wrong with this picture.
A-Toys, the designers behind this Sonico, will be showing her off at the upcoming Wonder Festival. She should be fully ready for previews by then, but that doesn't mean that you'll necessarily see her for sale. The company, on its blog, mentions that it won't be for sale or production. That's right, a company made a 1/2-scale Sonico so you could gawk at it; sounds about right. Okay, I'll end this on a positive note: it's not Cattleya.

I gushed about this figure when it went up for pre-order, but some folks were entirely unimpressed with what I consider a lovely figure of Haganai/Haganai NEXT's Sena as a dancer. Since the last time we saw her, it doesn't lo...

When Boku Wa Tomodachi Ga Sukunai, or Hagani for short, debuted in October of 2011, I don't think anybody expected it to be as successful as it was. Typically for a show like Haganai, most companies would have had a ton of me...

The latest Hobby Japan scans brought with them a new Hyakka Ryouran figure: a 1/8-scale Keiji Maeda. If you're into well-developed women, it's tough to beat that body. Although Keiji is wearing a kimono-like outer layer, it's...
